Immortal King of Ages Lord Jesus Christ, our God and Saviour! In the Jubilee Year 1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland, in the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, here we Poles stand in front of You [together with our authorities, clergy and laity] to acknowledge Your reign, to surrender to Your law, to entrust to You and to devote to You our whole nation.
Wishing to worship the majesty of Your power and glory, with great faith and love, we cry out:
Christ, reign over us!
- In our hearts - Christ reign over us!
- In our families - Christ reign over us!
- In our parishes - Christ reign over us!
- In our schools and universities - Christ reign over us!
- In our means of transport - Christ reign over us!
- In our offices, workplaces, places of our duty and rest - Christ reign over us!
- In our cities and villages - Christ reign over us!
- In our all Polish Nation and State - Christ reign over us!
We bless You and we thank You Lord Jesus Christ:
- For the unfathomable love of Your Sacred Heart
- Christ our King, we thank You!
- For the grace of baptism and covenant with our nation established for centuries - Christ our King, we thank You!
- for the maternal and royal presence of Mary in our history - Christ our King, we thank You!
- For Your great mercy extended to us constantly - Christ our King, we thank You!
- For Thy faithfulness despite our betrayals and weaknesses - Christ our King, we thank You!
Aware of our sins and insults inflicted to Your Heart, we apologize for all our sins, and in particular for turning away from the holy faith and for the lack of love for You and others. We apologize You for the national sins of our society and for any defects, addictions and vice. We renounce the devil and all his works.
We humbly submit ourselves to Your governance and Your law. We commit ourselves to organize our whole personal, family and national life according to Your law:
- We pledge to defend Your holy veneration, and preach Your royal glory - Christ our King, we promise!
- We pledge to do Your will and protect the integrity of our consciences - Christ our King, we promise!
- We pledge to care for the sanctity of our families and the Christian education of children - Christ our King, we promise!
- We pledge to build Your kingdom and defend it in our nation - Christ our King, we promise!
- We promise to be actively engage in the life of the Church and to protect its rights - Christ our King, we promise!
The only Ruler of states, nations and the whole of creation, the King of kings and the Lord of rulers! We entrust to You Poland and Polish government. Make all governing bodies act fairly and make laws in harmony with Your Laws.
Christ the King, confidently entrust Your mercy to all that Poland is, and especially those members of the Nation, who do not follow Your ways. Give them Your mercy, enlighten them with the power of the Holy Spirit and bring us all to eternal communion with the Father.
In the name of brotherly love, we entrust to You all the nations of the world and in particular those who crafted the cross that Poland has had to bear. Make them recognize in You Your place as rightful Lord and King, and use the time given to them by the Father for voluntary submission to Your reign.
Lord Jesus Christ, King of our hearts, deign to make our hearts on the model of Your Sacred Heart.
Let Your Holy Spirit descend and renew the face of the Earth, this Earth. Let the Holy Spirit support the implementation of the obligations arising from this national act, protect us from evil and attain our sanctification.
We place our decisions and commitments in the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We trust in the Maternal care of the Queen on Poland and the intercession of the patron saints of our country.
Christ reign over us! Reign over our country, and reign in every nation - for the greater glory of the Most Holy Trinity and the salvation of humankind. Make our country and the whole world Your kingdom: the kingdom of truth and life, the kingdom of holiness and grace, the kingdom of justice, love and peace.
